Home Depot manages the Ridgid brand, promoting these tools as a premium choice for both professionals and enthusiasts. The Ridgid range includes corded and 18-volt cordless power tools suited for mechanics, builders, and DIY projects. The $100 Ridgid portable work table is one of the latest additions to Home Depot’s assortment of work tables and has garnered favorable feedback from its users.

As of now, the Ridgid portable work table boasts a 4.5-star rating based on fewer than 50 reviews. While it’s promising, we hesitate to recommend it outright due to the limited number of user experiences. Nevertheless, an impressive 75% of reviewers at Home Depot have chosen to recommend it.

The first review on the product page, dated June 22, 2025, awards it five stars, commending it as a “very useful table” that is both easy to set up and break down, lightweight, and strong. Detractors typically criticize its performance as a router table, noting issues like table flex, non-standard router plate size, subpar plywood insert, and the necessity to create a custom router fence.

Notably, a review from a user named BobInc, posted on December 14, 2025, with the headline “Sturdy, solid, adaptable table. Perfect,” details their experience during a $5,000 deck renovation, utilizing the table to support a 12-inch compound miter saw, claiming it to be the best $100 they spent on the project.

How does the $100 Ridgid portable work table stack up against competitors?

When searching Home Depot’s offerings, one notable competitor is the $129 DeWalt plastic folding portable sawhorse workbench. In contrast to Ridgid, the DeWalt brand is owned by Stanley Black & Decker.

Though the DeWalt option carries a slightly higher price tag, you benefit from a larger work surface for the additional $29. Measuring 33.4 by 24 inches with a height of 31 inches, the DeWalt workbench provides a total working area of 801.6 square inches. The Ridgid table, while spacious with 755.7 square inches, has dimensions of 21.81 by 34.65 inches and stands at 32 inches tall.

In terms of weight capacity, the Ridgid table holds an advantage, boasting a maximum load of 1,500 pounds compared to the DeWalt’s 1,000 pounds. Additionally, the Ridgid model comes equipped with two clamps that work seamlessly with the integrated rails of the table.

On the other hand, although the DeWalt workbench lacks clamps, it features a leg design that allows for quicker deployment, albeit with less stability compared to the Ridgid table’s sturdier leg system. Weighing in at 22.49 pounds, the Ridgid table is slightly lighter than the DeWalt workbench, which weighs 24.25 pounds even without the clamps attached.
