The Waveguide uses a vibrant green font designed to be discrete yet legible, enabling smooth transcription powered by Qwen AI models. While there are always valid privacy concerns and questions about translation accuracy and speed, the potential of this technology is immense. Expected to launch in December 2025, Alibaba will release three distinct variants of both the G1 and S1 models. The S1 variant is the premium dual-display option, priced at ¥3,799 (around $552), while the more budget-friendly G1 model will be available for ¥1,899 (approximately $276). There is currently no release timeline set for the U.S. market.
